What Is the Lit Mage?
Weaving words and writing stories has always been a passion of mine. I dreamed of someday becoming an author since I was a child. It seemed like the ultimate success for me. When I took an online writing class after graduating high school, I learned that becoming an author has a lot more to it than just being a good writer. I also needed to be able to deliver a clean manuscript and become a master at marketing if I ever wanted my books to make it off the shelves.
Since I was a writer, not an editor or a marketer, I decided to go to school and study both of these subjects. Armed with that knowledge, I interned with Lindsay Flanagan (author of AnnaGrey and the Constellation) in early 2024. Instead of monetary compensation, we agreed on a little exchange of services. She trained me to be an editor and I helped her become a social media marketing master.
I fell in love with the process of helping her market her books, and I realized that I could teach other authors how to do it too. That’s how The Lit Mage was born; now I can be your mentor on your hero’s journey toward living your childhood dream.
